Been WAY too long!!!

Hello everyone!! We are so sorry for not uploading pictures during the rest of October, November and December! Our computer has been out of commission and we finally made it to Grandma and Grandpa Lohnes' house to blog some while our power is out. I only have a few pictures though since my others are at home in the frozen tundra!!! Hope everyone is doing well. Auggie is now 8 months old and 24 pounds!!! He is walking around with the assistance of a toy and crawling like crazy!!!! It seems like he learns something new everyday.

October off to a good start!

This weekend we went to Springfield to celebrate Caden's 2nd birthday and visit with Mommy's family. Auggie had a great time with everyone and got to go to the park for the first time and have a picnic for the first time. It was a beautiful day and fall was really in the air. We had some fun with taking some goofy pictures of Auggie in a bath robe, with Mommy's hair as a toupe, and in his halloween pjs. Hope everyone had a good weekend too!!!!

Fun Pictures!

Well we finally got Auggie's 5 month pictures done. Since he had been so sick we put them off until he was better. They were pictures done with his dedication outfit and first bible. They turned out really good. I am always so impressed with the quality of pictures from JC Penney.
On Friday Daddy and Auggie came to visit Mommy at work. I wanted them to meet my kids, since they have been begging to meet Auggie. Also it was Johnny Appleseed day and we made homemade applesauce. Auggie and Daddy got to eat some and both REALLY enjoyed it! Some of my students also had the chance to read to Auggie which he loved that!

On Sunday I had Daddy and Auggie dress alike. They were so cute together and when we showed up to church Grandpa Bill must have recieved the memo because he had a matching shirt! They are so cute all three in their denim shirts!

Dedication

This past weekend was a very busy one! We started off with Auggie being very sick on Friday with a high temp and ending up with an ear infection. He got a shot of antibiotic and is now feeling so much better. Tonight he was his happy little self again! Saturday we went to see the historic flood of downtown Peoria. Then on Sunday we celebrated Auggie's dedication at church. It was so nice to have the family there to witness his dedication. Both sets of grandparents, Aunt Kendra and Uncle Derrick and cousins Kierra, Kendrick, and Kynzie, Aunt Kendra Goff, Great Aunts and Uncles Jacquie and Bill, Mary and Wayne, and Gwen, Cousins Tami, Randy, Katelyn, and Lauren were all there to celebrate. We had a nice lunch out and got to enjoy Auggie and his adorable personality. He is truely a blessing to Mommy and Daddy!

Sick Baby!

P.S. These pictures are especially for Grandpa Kenny and Grandma Ruthie. Looks like the next U of I football player to me, but Grandma you never know he might play for their basketball team!

We have had a rough week this past week...It all started with Auggie coming home from the daycare a mess last Thursday (long story). So we decided to pull him out of daycare. We were blessed that Mommy has great friends at work who suggested someone that would come to our house to babysit Auggie. Kathy is wonderful and we cannot wait for her to start on the 29th. Then Auggie woke up in the middle of the night on Saturday with a very croupy cough. The rest of the week he had a low temp. and a bad cough. Finally on Friday he had a higher temp and was very lethargic. Our doctor sent us to the after hours peds at OSF. Auggie got a shot of antibiotic because he had a ear infection and could not keep the medication down. Hopefully that will help him to get over this nasty stuff he has been fighting all week.

On Saturday we were supposed to have his 5 month pictures taken since he turned 5 months old on Tuesday, but they will be postponed until Auggie is feeling better. Sunday is supposed to be his dedication, but we will see how he is feeling tomorrow and decide if we go ahead with it or not. On Monday he weighed in at 18 pounds 9.6 ounces at the doctor. We have not measured his height yet for this month. We are so sad Auggie has been so sick and can't wait until he is his happy go lucky healthy self!!

GO CARDS!!!

This weekend we had a great chance to go to St. Louis and see the Cardinals play the Marlins, thanks to Jeff, Julie and Giada! They had some tickets they weren't going to use and were generous enough to give them to us. So Daddy, Mommy, Auggie, and Grandpa Kenny all went to St. Louis and enjoyed a day at the ballpark. Auggie loved the game, he danced to all the songs and fell asleep even through all the noise. It was fun spending the day with Grandpa Kenny on Grandparent's day. The Cardinals won which made the day even better!
